Happy Holidays
A couple of weeks have passed since Thanksgiving came and went. I got my Christmas lights up in the studio, as you can see (barely) in the photo above. I find myself in the increasingly unenviable position of having a lot of Christmas shopping to do and not a lot of time to do it. I really don't want to end up doing gift cards all around, so I had better spend some quality time planning what I need to buy for everyone.
The Bay Regional Medical Center Charity Ball was held last weekend. Normally, that isn't my sort of thing, but I did all of the art for the ball (billboard, invitation, newspaper ad, tickets, program, etc.) and they asked me to come, so we got all dressed up and went to a ball. It was a good opportunity to see some people I work with in a non-work setting. Plus, I got to spend the evening looking at Michelle--she looked great.
I'm working on one big project for the hospital right now and have a number of smaller projects all simmering. I've recently landed a couple of new clients. I wish I could link to their pages, but they don't exist just yet.
The first is Black Cat Racing, a criterion-class cycling team. We designed the new team's logo and are currently putting the finishing touches on their shorts and jerseys. That's been a pretty fun project.
The second new project is called Andy's Animal Prints. It's a long story that I can't get into now, but it is a great opportunity to work with great people on a project that is greater than the sum of its parts. That's a little cryptic, I guess, but I'm not at liberty to divulge too much. It's going to be a fun project and I will update as time goes by.
Okay...it's snowing and sleeting and I need to get packed up and get the dogs in the truck to head home for the evening. More work to be done (as there always is), but it should be a somewhat calm evening. I can use it.
